After a few MRIs in one evening, I had a stiff neck from holding too still in the claustrophobic machine. So, I pulled out a gift my sister gave me - a sock. She gave it to me a few years ago, but I use it whenever I need pain relief. It's filled with rice and heats up really well when you microwave it for just the right amount of time.
Unfortunately, the sock met it's end this week. I put it on the wrong microwave setting and went to do some multi-tasking in the other room. Forgetting that I had started this endeavor, I was surprised to smell smoke when I wasn't cooking a meal.
Alas, the sock had been roasting too long and the rice burned. I''m a little surprised this hadn't happened sooner.
The sock is now gone and another will take it's place as soon as I get around to creating the replacement.
Until then, at least I have pictures...of it's better days.
