Am I the only person going through Facebook cycles?
I haven't been on it as much this week, and I still owe a few people responses to wall notes and emails, but I'm noticing these cycles which I'm sure are based upon when Facebook chooses to share certain information about me.
One week I'll be connected with a lot of family, other weeks I'll see the few high school people that I'm connected to, and most recently I've gotten connected to a few former mission companions. We'll write back and forth a few times and then I'm off to the next set of friends for a while and then it all circles back.
It's kind of neat in a way because it gives you a few people at once to focus on so it doesn't get so overwhelming.
I am truly grateful for Facebook. Half my week I'm exhausted (primarily mentally) and don't want to go do anything, but at least I can leave a few notes online and silently see what people are up to without leaving the couch.
I have a feeling that it has helped a few people through a lot of trials just knowing that others are out there who care. In fact, I don't "have a feeling." I know it is true for myself and for others who have shared with me.
Time to log in and see what the Facebook Cycle will be for today.

I also really love Facebook! It's been fun to connect with old friends who I never thought I'd ever hear from again. I know what you mean about the cycles. Interesting, isn't it?
It has been a blessing and a curse for me. I have had times of complete non-productivity due to FB. At times I feel so isolated from the world, but then I look at FB and see that people I know and care about are living their lives parallel to mine. Even if I don't have any communication with them, it is nice to know they are there plodding along in this crazy world. For some reason this is a comfort to me. At times I think how the world has changed. How people used to live with ALL of their relatives nearby in "clans" if you will. I don't think it is natural for families to be so spread out. FB helps us get that "connection" we NEED with others. Here I go rambling...It's late! hope this made sense!
