Task Interference

Ok, so the names are strategically covered up on this, but this is how many interruptions I had just during the 9-5 part of the day at work one day last week.
This does not count people walking by the office and saying "hi" who took less than 1/2 a minute of time. This includes only people that came in with questions, wanting to talk and/or providing additional information. It is no wonder it is hard for us to take phone calls or answer emails. With this amount of traffic, how does one accomplish anything? At least it is recorded for historical documentation. (-;

This cracks me up. It must have been some awesome secret personal entertainment for you, especially the vindication of blogging about it. :) It reminds me of The Office, Merger episode where the new people were like, "How do you get any work done?" and they're like, "Oh we find little spaces of time here and there. " :)

Haa. I will have to review that episode because that is exactly what it is. And, it is even worse when I keep track and then I go do it to someone without thinking. I'm an office hypocritee or something.
