Memory Lane - Lincoln Memorial
While I was walking around the Lincoln Memorial this past weekend, I remembered the first time I saw it. It was apparently in 1981 (the date on this picture). I still remember being in awe - not just because of the statue, but because of the amazing feeling I had at all the memorials around the National Mall.
Now that the picture is in front of me, I realize just how young we really were.
Isn't it amazing how young we can start to have these powerful feelings?
I still feel that same feeling whenever I go to the National Mall.
P.S. Notice how the shirts that RaeLyn and I are wearing are back in style. Renaye is wearing a "Sneakers" shirt that ended up being worn by another sister and 3-4 brothers after this point in time. So, it is one of the many "famous" articles of clothing in our family. Are we the only family that talks in these terms?
