Sketchers
A very generous friend gave me a gift certificate to Kohls. I like Kohls. I used to unload a semi-truck for them every night from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. in the morning. They've got good stuff and it was amazing to me that we would get an entire truck of clothes, shoes, and household wares every single day six days a week. (Even more amazing is that I would work, go home and shower and substitute teach at local schools before going home and napping before the next shift. Not sure if the kids learned much, I can't remember.)
Anyway, at a little garden party a friend told us about how awesome her Sketchers were and so I looked up Kohls.com to see if they sold them. Yep! and Yea!
I love them! Plus, they look like real shoes now compared to their initial styles that only had the options of solid white or solid black. These are supposedly meant to help with posture, losing weight and alignment. We shall see...
After wearing these, it is hard to put on regular tennis shoes. Regular tennis shoes don't have as much sole padding as I thought.
Try out a pair - I hear Target has them for half the price. They are over a hundred, but with a sale you may be able to get them in the $80s or $90s.
Here I go a walkin...

So, I just realized that I just wrote about "good gifts" and I got a gift certificate, which is something that wasn't apparently on the "good gifts" list.
However, this was a VERY good gift and I'm grateful it got me something meaningful that was my choice. So, it fits in the good gift category for me! (-:
