Wow! It looks completely updated. I think for everyone's benefit you need to have a before and after shot. A shot before you replaced the fridge and stove.
In answer to the question "how long do you think it would have taken if' you'd done it by yourself?" The answer is - this would never have been started if it was to be accomplished by me. I know my limits and this would have been a complete disaster of the mind and kitchen if it was in my hands. (-: Perhaps it would have taken a year and still looked bad.
