Gorilla Antics

So, the gorilla antics were the highlight of my zoo visit yesterday.

The mom and baby were cute, but all of the other gorilla folks wanted to have their share of attention as well.

Here's one that was quite the character. Before this picture was taken, the gorilla carrying the bail of straw had been teasing the gorilla below it. In fact, a few of them had been coming up behind the lower gorilla (who was at that point perched higher than any of them) and poking him in the arm and in the rear end. Yikes!

All of a sudden the one gorilla sweeped over to a bail of straw, picked the entire thing up and hopped over everything to the very top spot in the room.

I was too slow to get my camera from video to picture mode and so I have one picture and one short video. Unfortunately, the actual action was caught on picture and the lack of action was caught on video.

Funny either way.
