Gorilla Baby

We took a little break yesterday and went to the National Zoo.

The most facinating part of it was when we entered the Gorilla section and suddenly a mother and baby appeared. It was so cute!

For some reason we always see monkeys around that size, but to see a mini-gorilla was extremely cute.

My pictures aren't great. The room lighting and all of the people and kids trying to catch the view made it difficult.

However, I did get a little video that showed some of the fun interactions between the kids and the baby.

Here's some links to more professional shots.

These animals aren't human, but they are smart!

At one point they conducted a minor comedy show for all of us. They must think it is hilarious that we stop and watch them for so long.

Anyway, fun little trip. I only took a few pictures and we didn't stay too long since it was a hot day, continual uphill climbing and ...it was Senator Kennedy's funeral that evening and had to skip out on being part of that traffic jam.
