Smithsonian Architecture

As part of my Memorial Weekend excursion, I took a few pictures of the Smithsonian Institution building which now houses the administrative offices for the overall Smithsonian museum program. The Smithsonian Institute is a fascinating story and what a wonderful gift to our country to set up a group of museums geared toward expanding knowledge of the world around us.

Even in all of my visits to DC, I'm still not sure if I've been to all the Smithsonian Museums and I'm definitely sure that I haven't seen everything in them.
